Hello!
I just wanted to share a great new CSI book I foundits called Investigating CSI, and its an anthology of essays by different authors about all three of the shows. Theres a great essay by a real-life CSI who has actually shared crime scene stories with Anthony Zuiker, and he explains what professional CSIs think about the CSI Effect. Theres also a thought-provoking essay on how the shows influence the crimes of real-world criminals, but my favorite is by another professional CSI, Christine Feldstein, who tells all the details of what actually goes on at a crime scene. The Majesty of Maggots kind of turned my stomach for the first bit, but it was very interesting, too! Anyway, its a well-written, attention-holding read, and it really made me appreciate the show and the actual occupation even more. I recommend it to even a casual fan. You can get it at either amazon.com or at smartpopbooks.com, and heres the link to that if youre interested: smartpopbooks.com/allbook....html#CSI. Theres a blurb for the book that is probably more indicative of the contents than mine is!
They also have a whole line of books addressing hit TV shows, so its a good site regardless of whether you want the CSI book or not! I also bought the Getting Lost book.
